The Lady Broncos had the look of bucking broncos Tuesday night as Boyd had no trouble pushing aside Daniel 1 Academy on Senior Night.
The last home game was a memorable one for four Lady Bronco seniors during a convincing 60-26 victory.
The outcome wasn't in doubt for long as Boyd was ahead 16-4 after the opening quarter and the lead was 29-12 at halftime.
Kapri Talley was the top scorer for Boyd with 19 points. She proved to be a force in the paint and also flashed her range with three 3-pointers.
Anna Jones followed with 15 points, while Zoe Witty scored 14.
"We pushed the ball upcourt very well and were able to find the open man," said Boyd coach Erin Blalock. "I was impressed with our passing and our ability to play well together as a team."
The win evens Boyd's record at 10-10. The Lady Broncos earned a first-round bye in next week's district tournament. Their first opponent will be Christian Community in a game played at White House.
"The thing I'm pleased with the most is these girls really got better as the season progressed," said coach Blalock. "That's all we asked for."
Other Boyd scorers were Lexi Loader with 6, Sarah Woodruff with 4 and Syd Durham with 2.
