Needing a win to even its District 6-AAA record, the Warren County High School softball team went to Cookeville Tuesday on a mission.Behind a great performance from Gabi Keith in the circle, the Lady Pioneers returned home with a 3-0 victory over the Lady Cavaliers. The win moved Warren County to 4-4 in district, which forces a three-way tie for second place. The tiebreaker probably won’t go the Lady Pioneers way, but coach David Upton doesn’t seem to mind as his team has picked up its play of late.Warren County has won 10 of its last 15 games, moving its overall record to 18-17. The recent surge carried over in Cookeville as coach Upton heaped praise on his Lady Pioneers.“They definitely left it all on the field,” said Upton.
