For the fourth straight season, the Warren County High School baseball team is preparing for the regular season under a new coach.Adam Childs will be looking to continue the improvement of the last three seasons, where the Pioneers have improved their win total from two to five to last year’s mark of 10.Monday was the first time coach Childs got a first-hand look at his team against competition. The Pioneers began practice Feb. 13, but Monday’s scrimmage against Franklin County at home was the first time Warren County took the field against an opponent.In a scrimmage where the main goal was to get a look at each player on the roster, coach Childs thought his team performed admirably.“We did some things very well and we found some things we need to work on,” said Childs. “I was happy with how the boys competed and how hard they worked.
