Fish named Pioneer of the Week

Devin Fish had a big-time performance at home last Friday, scoring a career-best 34 points in a win over Stewarts Creek. Fish is currently averaging 19.3 points per game for the Pioneers, who improved to 9-3 overall Monday with a win on the road at White County.

The Southern Standard, partnering with R3 Logistics, will be honoring a Pioneer of the Week throughout the year. Our honoree from Dec. 29 - Jan. 4 is WCHS Pioneer junior Devin Fish.

Devin Fish has been a standout from the moment he set foot on the floor at Charlie Dalton Gym as a freshman. Last week, he may have had his best performance as a Pioneer to date. Fish showed why he's one of the most feared scorers in the Midstate against Stewarts Creek, dropping 34 points on the Redhawks as the Pioneers continued their winning streak.

Fish outscored the Redhawks on his own in the first half, putting up 24 points to push the Pioneers to a 40-23 lead. He set a career high in the fourth - one that he'll likely break many more times before he's done in Warren County.
