Eagles finding groove

Jacob Dodd photo--Tyler Dunn's steady hand at guard for Morrison has been a big boost for the Eagles. Morrison has started the season 4-1.
Opening night for Morrison was a bust, but everything since has been a blast for the Eagles.Morrison (4-1) extended its winning streak to four games Monday night with a 36-7 victory over Eastside. The win came on the heels of a 34-9 beating of the Boyd Broncos last week.Defense has been coach Kyle Cannon’s calling card after his team opened the season with a 40-26 loss to Dibrell, the current league leader at 5-0. Morrison has allowed only 46 points in its last four games, making the Eagles the stingiest defense in the league.Primed with multiple guards to pester ball handlers and lengthy wings to swat shots around the basket, Morrison used its suffocating stop unit Monday to make quick work of the Bulldogs.
