Don't think for a second the Pioneers are satisfied with their current run. It doesn't take more than a few seconds for their coach to remind them there is still much more to accomplish this season.

The Pioneers extended their winning streak to 11 games Monday, taming the DeKalb County Tigers 56-40 at home. Chance Whitlock led the way with 14 points and Corban Felton, Devin Fish and Deashawn Adams all had 10 points each as Warren County won for the 18th time in the last 20 meetings in the border rivalry.

It was a grind for three quarter against the Tigers, but with coach Danny Fish urging his team to "get downhill and keep attacking," Warren County found a way to break away in the fourth quarter.

Isaiah Robledo brought a huge spark, with his defense keying the team's relentless pressure in the fourth. He had two key steals and layups late - the second turning into a three-point play when the junior was able to finish at the hoop while getting fouled. He sank the ensuing free throw to cap a five-point night.

Fish also had an empathic finish late, stepping in front of a pass and cruising in for a monster jam to bring the packed crowd to its feet.

Senior Connor Williams capped the game with a layup, pleasing the large student section rooting for the senior to get on the board in the waning seconds.

Whitlock set the tone after halftime, using his size to manhandle the Tigers in the paint and build on a 27-19 lead at the break for Warren County. Canaan Parris also had a big bucket, beating the third-quarter buzzer on a pull-up jumper right in front of the student section.

Felton got the Pioneers going early, flipping a Tiger advantage into Warren County lead with back-to-back triples late in the first quarter. He also laced a perfect pass into Whitlock for a layup just before the final buzzer.
