Entering the final week of the 5-6 grade elementary season at 10-0, the Dibrell Lady Wildcats realized their goal of an undefeated season was just two wins away. Standing in the way though was the team’s toughest challenger – the Eastside Lady Bulldogs – and a day game at Mor-rison where every student would be going crazy.Dibrell handled the two contests like the championship team they now are. The Lady Wildcats beat Eastside 31-22 and Morrison 38-16 to claim the regular-season title.Coach Betsy McBride’s squad started the season wanting to prove they were the best despite falling short in the preseason elementary tournament.
