Custom Collision puts dent in Smarty Pants' record

Custom Collison pulled out a win against Smarty Pants on Friday night in boys 6-8 baseball action thanks to a five-run outburst thanks to the long ball in the second inning, to help them pull away for a 6-3 win.
In the win for Custom Collision, Korbyn Harris came up huge at the plate with a grand slam homerun for his only hit of the game.
Kaden Jones and Andrew Key also added solo homeruns to help contribute to the win.
Smarty Pants was led at the plate by Eli Richardson who blasted a two-run homerun in the third inning.
Custom Collision didn’t take long to score the first run of the game in the top of the first thanks to Jones’ solo homerun, to break the scoreless tie, heading into the bottom of the inning.
Smarty Pants managed to get a runner on base in the bottom of the inning, but failed to tie the game, leaving it a one-run game.
Custom Collisions’ bats caught fire in the top of the second as five runs came across to score via the homerun. Key got the hitting started with a solo shot to begin the inning to stretch the Custom Collision lead to two, 2-0.
Later in the inning with the bases loaded and two outs, Korbyn Harris came up and cleared the bases with a grand slam, extending the Custom Collision lead, 6-0, going into the bottom of the second.
Smarty Pants finally got on the board in the bottom of the inning, trimming the deficit to five, with an inning left to play, 6-1.
After Custom Collison went down quickly in the top of the third, Smarty Pants kept the game interesting in its final at-bat.
Walt Wrather led the inning off with a double that was followed by a Richardson two-run shot to unload the bases, making it a three-run game, 6-3.
Smarty Pants threatened again but failed to get any more runs across as Custom Collison came through with the victory, in a close game, 6-3.
