The Brent’s Computer Cubs showed Tuesday night at Hoover and Millraney Field they are still a force to be reckoned with in the 9-10-year-old boys junior league. The Cubs, losers of two straight after beginning 4-0, got back to their winning ways by knocking off the previously unbeaten Southern Standard Mets 12-3.The Cubs didn’t exactly get off to a promising start against one of the league’s best teams. The Mets took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first when Brooks Helton knocked a two-run home run well over the left-field fence. The Cubs responded quickly though.
