Tennessee receivers Jennings, Perry out for rest of spring

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee wide receivers Jauan Jennings and Vincent Perry have joined the long list of Volunteers out for the rest of spring practice with injuries.

Vols coach Butch Jones said Tuesday both players should be ready to return by mid-June. Jones didn't disclose the nature of their injuries.

Jennings caught 14 passes for 149 yards last season. Perry will be a redshirt freshman this fall.

Other players out with injuries this spring include linebackers Dillon Bates and Jalen Reeves-Maybin, safety/kick returner Evan Berry, offensive tackle Chance Hall, quarterback Sheriron Jones, wide receiver Josh Malone, offensive guard Jashon Robertson, tight end Joe Stocstill, running back Joe Young and defensive linemen Derek Barnett, Andrew Butcher, Kyle Phillips, Austin Smith, Shy Tuttle and Kendal Vickers.

Tennessee is holding its Orange & White Game on Saturday.
