KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee has hired Sharrona Reaves to join the Lady Volunteers' coaching staff.

Lady Vols coach Holly Warlick announced Tuesday that Reaves, who was at West Virginia last season, has been hired as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. The native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee was an assistant at West Virginia from 2003-06 and 2013-16.

Warlick said in a statement Reaves is "going to bring great knowledge to our program and be a really good fit at Tennessee." Reaves said she felt "extremely blessed."

Reaves, a former Alabama team captain, went 35-24 as head coach at Division II LIU Post (then known as C.W. Post) from 2006-08. She was a Mississippi State assistant from 2008-10.

Reaves replaces Kyra Elzy. Warlick announced April 6 that she and Elzy "mutually agreed to part ways."
