Make it a clean sweep for the Morrison 5-6 grade boys basketball team. The Eagles won the postseason tournament Saturday night with a 41-29 victory over the Centertown Warriors, completing a perfect year that also included a preseason tournament title and regular-season championship. The 17th straight victory for Morrison may have been the team’s toughest as the Warriors stayed close for most of the game before succumbing to the Eagles in the end.It was late in the third quarter before Morrison was able to stretch its lead for good, giving the team its customary double-digit win that happened each time the Eagles took the court this season. Leading the charge during the late rally was tournament MVP Irving Espinoza, who would score 17 of his game-high 21 points in the second half.
