Snow breaks don’t seem to slow down the Centertown Lady Warriors. Neither do their opponents.

The Lady Warriors continued their march through District 2 Monday night, taking down Eastside 28-12 to remain unbeaten this season. The Centertown Warriors followed with a 44-12 win over the Bulldogs.

The Centertown girls team used its depth to overwhelm Eastside. Nine different Lady Warriors scored as the team won its fifth straight to start the season.

Abby Fann and Keeley Simpson led the way with six points, doing most of their damage in the first three quarters before coach Kelly Eckenrod pulled back the reins in the fourth. Regin Grissom and Brinlee Griffith added four points each, all coming in the first half when Centertown built an 18-4 lead.

Other scorers for Centertown included Gracie Sadler, Emma Carter and Shelby Miller with two points each and Allie Melton and Stormie Pezzimenti with one point apiece.

Katrina Lusk led the 0-4 Lady Bulldogs with four points. Kelly Bush, Izzy Pitts, Amelia McClure and Ansli Womack chipped in two points each.

In boys action, Moore Young and Connor Williams each scored 11 points as Centertown improved to 3-2.

Hayven Jones added eight points, followed by John Porter Prater and Jaxon Grissom with four points each. Brock Beddies, Ryan Romzek and Ryder Gilispie scored two points apiece.

The Bulldogs got four points from Caleb Cox and baskets from Brayden Curtis, Brayden Knight, Dillon Kester and Cash Livesay.
