The Centertown Warriors 5-6 grade boys basketball team opened its season Tuesday as they hosted the West Wizards, winning the contest by a wide margin, 35-4.Jumping ahead to a 17-1 halftime lead, the Warriors spread points out across their offense. The Wizards didn’t have an answer as their score in the first half came from Dyson Elam hitting one from the foul line.West didn’t fare much better in second-half action, as Wizard Matthew Starkey put up two points in the third quarter and Elam hit one more from the foul line.The Warriors scoring breaks down as follows: John Prater 6 points, Aiden Miller with 5, Baler Melton, Ethan Roach, Tyler Adams, Peyton Adams and Sam Rivers all had 4 points apiece, and Ashton Griffith and Casen Youngblood both had 2 points.
