The Boyd Lady Broncos would be wise to not invite Rachel Fettig to their Senior Night party next year.Fettig scored 28 points Tuesday night at J.K. Stanley Gymnasium to lead the Middle Tennessee Heat to a 48-28 victory over the Lady Broncos.Boyd (12-12) was hoping to send seniors Brea Moody and Madison Todd out with a win, but the Heat’s top guard couldn’t be contained. Fettig scored all six of her team’s first-quarter points and finished the first half with 17 points. Fettig’s biggest shot came right before the halftime buzzer when she banked in a 3-pointer to give the visitors a 22-10 lead.Boyd guard Claire LeDuc traded baskets with Fettig in the first quarter by scoring six points of her own, but most of the Lady Bronco offense in the second quarter came on one shot – a 3-pointer by Sammye Jo Medley. After the break, coach Steven Glenn was able to coax more offense out of his Lady Broncos.
