Basketball tourney begins tomorrow

The new gymnasium at Dibrell Elementary School will be where the fifth- and sixth-grade basketball season will tip off Monday night.
The annual preseason elementary basketball tournament begins tomorrow as fifth- and sixth-grade boys and girls teams will take the court all week.
Tournament games will be played Monday, Tuesday and Thursday starting at 4:30 p.m., while the tournament finals are set to be played Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The Irving College Lady Tigers and Morrison Lady Eagles will get the honor of starting the season. The first game tomorrow is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. and will followed by the Morrison Eagles taking on the Eastside Bulldogs at 5:45 p.m.
The Eastside Lady Bulldogs face the Centertown Lady Warriors at 7 p.m. and the Dibrell Wildcats and Centertown Warriors will wrap up Monday’s action with a game at 8:15 p.m.
Tuesday’s action includes the Warren County Middle School Lady Pioneers facing the Boyd Lady Broncos at 4:30 p.m. and the Irving College Tigers and Boyd Broncos playing at 5:45 p.m.
The Dibrell Lady Wildcats are set to play Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against the winner of the Irving College-Morrison girls game from Monday. The Warren County Middle School Pioneers will debut at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday against the winner of the Eagles-Bulldogs contest from Monday.
Semifinal games are set to be played Thursday night at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. while consolation games will start at 4:30 p.m.
The finals in the girls tournament will be played Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with the boys tournament finals to start afterward at 6:45 p.m. Consolation games Saturday will be played at 3 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Admission will be $3.
