The Warren County High School Pioneer football team takes the field Friday, scrimmaging Lincoln County High’s Falcons, a tough opponent. The Fayetteville team is no stranger to the Pioneers, having battled them for 10 years straight from 2001-2010 without much success. Unfortunately, Warren County went 0-10 against the Falcons during that span, which makes them a litmus test candidate for this year’s preseason, giving WCHS head coach Tom Moore and his staff a good idea where the Pioneers stand.Coach Moore addressed his main concerns for the upcoming scrimmage.Q: In general, what are you looking for from our team in this first scrimmage against Lincoln County?A: We have had a solid week of practice. A couple of our experience players will not be playing due to injury (Zane Maxwell, Caleb King and Shawn Woodlee) but we will have a chance to look at some other boys at both linebacker and offensive line.
