WCMS soccer wins second straight CTC championship

The Warren County Middle School girls soccer team celebrates after winning the CTC Tournament on Saturday afternoon. WCMS finishes its season with a record of 11-1 and 56 goals scored with only 7 goals allowed.
It’s back-to-back tournament championships for the WCMS girls soccer team.The Lady Pioneers battled hard with Harris Middle School for a 1-0 victory to earn the Central Tennessee Conference tournament title Saturday in McMinnville.The Lady Pioneers first had to defeat Franklin North to earn a spot in the championship game. In the first 2 minutes of the game, Katie Toney dashed down the field to give WCMS a 1-0 lead. With Franklin North defenders winded, the Lady Pioneers were awarded a penalty kick which was missed.
