We should spend money on our schools

My first reaction after reading James Clark’s commentary Friday was “James what’s the matter with you?”While bemoaning our county’s investment in the new Dibrell School complex and Morrison School construction in his weekly “The Scoop” column, he noted with prejudice the $18 million price tag these long overdue building projects cost the taxpayers. Our esteemed editor doesn’t want the children of this community to do without, but rather within reason. He fully believes the 467 students at Dibrell could have been more than adequately served with far less classrooms at a much cheaper cost.
