I’m not a fan of statistics. During Tuesday night’s meeting of the city’s Safety Committee, night races were banned until further notice due to a national statistical report that stated “A majority of the pedestrian fatalities, 70 percent, occurred during the nighttime (6 p.m. – 5:59 a.m.).” The report came out in 2014 and was for 2012.With a statement like that, I understand their reaction. However, I wanted to see the report for myself.
