Cam Newton made a statement that caught my attention this week. He told reporters on Wednesday, “I am an African-American quarterback that may scare a lot of people because they haven’t seen nothing they can compare me to.”The first problem I see immediately is why he has to point out the obvious to everyone? Maybe Newton doesn’t understand or know that we realize the color of his skin.
