TO THE EDITOR:McMinnville’s annual event Back to the Strip was designed – and still is designed – to sponsor Meals and Wheels and the Food Bank which cater to the elderly, disabled, and the poor. Allow me to explain Back to the Strip: Antique, restored hot rod and custom cars and motorcycles cruise the Strip, bumper to bumper at around 10 mph with live music featured. All up and down The Strip, families park, sit on the hoods of their cars, munch burgers and pizza, and both the adults and the children enjoy of cool evening of hot rides.
