TO THE EDITOR:This letter was inspired by James Clark's column "The Scoop" in the May 6 Southern Standard.I agree 100 percent with the angle presented that the proposed upgrade and expansion of the Civic Center would place more undue pressure on the privately owned gyms. Don't get me wrong. I totally agree the city needs to maintain and improve the Civic Center to grow with the needs of the McMinnville residents.
