Winona Brooks Smith, 89, of McMinnville formerly of LaVergne, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. She was a native of Athens Ala., and was preceded in death by her husband Edward Smith, daughters Gwen Daconto, and Vonda Holland, parents Jim and Inez McNeese Brooks.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Jesus Only Tabernacle in Nashville and a retired LPN for Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Smith and wife Tammy, J.B. Smith and wife Sherri, daughter Annette Martin and husband Jesse, 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 p.m. noon until funeral service at 2 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rick Clouse and Doug Baggett will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. www.woodfinchapel.com.
