Warren County native and Morrison resident Wilmus Carl Bouldin, 82, was born March 26, 1940 and died July 25 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, following a short illness.          

A farmer, retired maintenance worker for Carrier Corp. and a member of Grange Hall Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Bryan and Demmie Roberts Bouldin.  He was married to Wanda Higgins Gann of Morrison on Feb. 24, 2018. 

In addition to his parents and first wife of 50 years, Frances Hudson Bouldin, he was preceded in death by daughter Sherry Bouldin, sisters Emma Pope, Birdie Grissom and Pauline McCormick, and brother J.C. Bouldin.

In addition to Mr. Bouldin’s wife, he is survived by children Carl (Beverly) Bouldin of McMinnville and Stephanie (Mark) Bess of Morrison, grandchildren Ashley (Cody) Powell and Bryan Bouldin both of McMinnville, LaNae (Jordan) Calloway of Daytona Beach, Fla., Hanna Bess and Jaben Bouldin of Morrison, great-grandchildren J.C. Powell, Bryson Bouldin, McKenna Bouldin, Lawsyn Bouldin and Memphis Bouldin, step-daughter Holly (Keith) Bain of Morrison, sister Martha (Rayburn) Holt of Morrison, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sue Killian of Chattanooga, Emmagene (Doug) Durham and Elaine (Ronnie) Hoover of McMinnville, Beverly (Larry) Garrett of Morrison, and Wayne (Sally) Higgins of Park City, Utah, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 29, in High’s Chapel with Randall Gann and the Bouldin family officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at High Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
