William Richard Locke, 85, of Fort Pierce, Fla., died Tuesday, April 21.He was the son of Author and Willie Locke. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Claire Locke; his sister, Imogene Maddox; niece, Katherine McElroy; and nephews, Thomas Perry and Tom Smith.He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country in the Korean War. He returned from the Army and graduated from Middle Tennessee State and taught industrial arts for 20 years in Torrence, Calif.The Neptune Society is in charge of burial arrangements.Southern Standard(McMinnville, Tenn.)
