William Edward Edd Patterson, 93

McMinnville resident and Cannon County native William Edward “Edd” Patterson, 93, was born Dec. 17, 1923 and died May 22 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a brief illness.Retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation as an inspector and supervisor of bridges and paving, and a member of East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Grover Lee Patterson and Victoria Blair Patterson Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Bertha Goff and Estel Lee Cope; son-in-law Bobby Haley; stepfather Hollie Smith; stepsister, Hassie Mae Osment; and two stepbrothers, Loy Brown and George Smith.He was married May 28, 1942 to Imo Jean Gunter Patterson of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Judy Haley of McMinnville; granddaughter Beverly Bouldin and husband Carl of McMinnville; grandson Kevin Haley and wife Allison of McMinnville; four great-grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Cody Powell, Bryan and Meaghan Bouldin, Dillon Haley and Dawson Haley, all of McMinnville; and three great-great-grandchildren, J.C. Willeby, Bryson Fults and McKenna George.
