Smithville resident and Warren County native Willard Donald Jennings, 74, was born March 22, 1948 and died Jan. 4, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.           

A retired employee of Powermatic and member of the Church of God of Prophecy, he was the son of the late Ellen Cantrell Howell. He was married to Ella Mae Freeman Jennings who preceded him in death Nov. 24, 2014.

Mr. Jennings is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dewaine and Tonya Jennings of Smithville; daughter, Angela Jennings of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Kayla Watwood, Haley Jennings, Ethan Jennings, Tyler Cannon and Cooper Jennings and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
