Waymon Hugh Curtiss, 64

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Waymon Hugh Curtiss, 64, was born Sept. 18, 1952 and died Sept. 24 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville following an extended illness.
A self-employed contractor and farmer, he was the son of the late Waymon Eugene and Bonita Cain Curtiss. Mr. Curtiss was a member of Hebron Church of Christ and also regularly attended Smith Grove Church of Christ in Cannon County.
Mr. Curtiss is survived by son Dustin Curtiss of Sevierville; daughter Christina Farley of Sevierville; sisters Molly Dearing Schoenauer of Fairfax, Va., and Nancy (Samuel) Hitchcock of Rock Island; special friends Gerlinde and Collier Rogers and Shanna McCormick, all of Rock Island; Marshall and Donna Williams of Woodbury and Terry and Linda Henderson of Morrison; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at High’s Chapel with Al Bugg Jr. and Marshall Williams officiating. Burial was held at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smith Grove Church of Christ Building Fund or American Cancer Society both c/o High’s.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
