Mrs. Virginia Dare Russell Womack, 95, of McMinnville passed away at NHC HealthCare of Murfreesboro. She was born on Dec. 20, 1929 in Smithville, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Virginia was lovingly known as "Nana" and was one of the beloved people in the world. She was a devout Christian, a fantastic cook and a homemaker extraordinaire.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, James Dillard Russell and Nora Magdalene Young Russell; husband, James Alvin Womack; and sister, Lillie Mae Russell Webb. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon McCoin of Murfreesboro; grandson, Jayme (Amy) Adcock; great grandchildren, James Adcock and Benjamin Adcock; nieces, Theresa Webb Bell and Glenda Webb Wilkes; and her NHC Murfreesboro family who provided the greatest loving care and will always be considered a part of Virginia’s family.
The graveside service and interment for Virginia Dare Womack is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at Mt. View Cemetery. Jayme Adcock will officiate. Friends will meet the family at the cemetery as there will be no public visitation held at the funeral home.
