Virgil Hibdon, Jr., 63, of Smithville (Green Hill community) died Feb. 9 at his residence. He was a member of The Baptist Tabernacle in Smithville and pastor of Macedonia The Baptist Church of Christ in Smith County. He was an ordained minister for the past 38 years and served as moderator of the Union Association of The Baptist from 1991 to 2012.
