Murfreesboro resident and Warren County native Velma Neely “Mama Temp” Templeton, 83, was born July 16, 1928 and died Sept. 1 at Community Care of Rutherford County in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.A realtor with Hometown Realty and member of Living Word Fellowship, she was the daughter of the late Monroe F. and Louvernia Jones Neely. She was married to Wilson C. “Temp” Templeton, who preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1985. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Nolan Neely.
