Twana Leigh Durham Smith, 76

McMinnville resident and Elkins, W.Va., native Twana Leigh Durham Smith, 76, was born Nov. 22, 1944 and died Dec. 3 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.

A retired clerk with the City of McMinnville and a member of Westwood Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Ethelene Grace “Tiny” Durham of McMinnville and the late James Clifton Durham. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by son Cory Alan Smith.

She was married to Terry Smith of McMinnville. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew Ryan and Rixceny Smith of Murfreesboro, and Travis Kent and Paula Smith of Morrison, seven grandchildren, Maggie, Colby, Lindsey, Tylan, Parker, Jaxton, and Taylor Smith, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Theresa Durham of McMinnville, and Doug and Emogene Durham of McMinnville, and niece, Chanda Lanier of Bellevue, TN.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County with Richard O’Connor and Jackie Matheny officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
