Timothy Lee Taylor, 52, a McMinnville resident and Hamilton County native, was born Jan. 21, 1966 and died June 29 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was a self-employed logger and son of Wallace Taylor of Dayton, and the late Phyllis Priest. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by stepfather, Ed Priest.

Mr. Taylor was married Oct. 23, 1992 to Carla Butler Taylor, who survives. In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by two children and spouses, Cole and Hailey Taylor, and Ashley and Austin Alexander, all of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Leyton and Lynlee Taylor and Rhett Alexander; stepmother, Barbara Taylor of Dayton; siblings and spouses, Stacey and Darrell Bailey of McMinnville, Debbie Taylor and Cary and Ethel Taylor, all of Dayton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, at High’s Chapel with Jackie Matheny and Freddie Marler to officiate. Interment will follow at New Union Cemetery on Hwy. 30. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
