Timothy Grandey, 63, died on June 6 in Woodbury. Tim was born in McMinnville to Philip and Willodene Tuck Grandey on July 23, 1957.

Tim spent his early childhood in McMinnville before moving to Florida with his family. He graduated from Vero Beach High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn. Tim was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed singing in the church and would often attend singings at congregations throughout the region. Tim was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was good-hearted and it was easy to get him to laugh. He enjoyed visiting historic places, spending time with family and friends, and playing Rook and Chinese checkers. He loved many people dearly and many people loved him. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter Savannah Grandey Knies and her husband Caleb, grandson Smith Edward Knies, and siblings Ted Grandey, Phyllis Manual, Mona Krantz, and Jane Pierce.

Tim will be missed tremendously. A memorial service will be held at Arlington Church of Christ in McMinnville on Saturday, June 12 at 2 pm. Tim Knox will officiate.
