McMinnville resident and Warren County native Steve R. “Cub” Caldwell, 67, was born July 30, 1954 and died Feb. 21 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following a sudden illness.
A retired dumptruck driver for Hillis Trucking, he was the son of the late Arvil Ray and Laura Ruth Bouldin Caldwell. He was married to Angie Caldwell of McMinnville on March 13, 1976. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Angela Kay Caldwell and Doris Caldwell, and grandparents.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Caldwell is survived by three daughters, Trista (Kenny) Gibson of Bradyville, TN, Cristy Caldwell of Morrison, and Leslie Caldwell of McMinnville, six grandchildren, Jaylon Wooten, Kyland and Keaton Gibson, Alec and Sabastien Smith and Leeloo Grissom, special pet, Chevy, two sisters Janie France of Sparta, and Delaina Asbell of McMinnville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Caldwell will be cremated. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at High’s. A graveside inurnment will be held at a later date.
