Stephen Randell Butcher, 66

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Stephen Randell Butcher, 66, was born Dec.6, 1958 and died Feb. 11, 2025 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness. 

A retired foreman with Tri-State Development, he was the son of the late Bill and Evelyn Jean Rhea Butcher. He was married to Lesa Fay Taylor on May 17, 1980 who preceded him in death.

Mr. Butcher is survived by two sons, Chris (Christina) Butcher and Travis (Tiffani) Butcher, both of McMinnville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ricky (Sally) Butcher, Freddie Butcher and Bruce (Barbara) Butcher, all of McMinnville; sisters, Debbie Butcher and Teresa (Randy) Mullins, both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 14 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek in Warren County. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
