Stephen Pitson Smith, 95, of McMinnville died Saturday, Dec. 8 at River Park Hospital in McMinnville.He was born Feb. 9, 1917 in McMinnville and was a founding partner with Powermatic Corp., a former member of Noon Rotary Club, and a member of First Presbyterian Church of McMinnville. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Joanna Pitson Smith Sr.; his wife, Kate Dodson Smith; sisters, Margaret McCumber and Mildred Fell Bussell; and brothers Ken, Louis, Ray, and Leonard Smith Jr.Survivors include sisters Jean Jennings and Joan McGregor; several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.Funeral service was held Tuesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harry Green officiated.
