Sarah Ophaline Judkins, 96

Sarah Ophaline Judkins, 96, of McMinnville and a native of DeKalb County, died Friday night, Jan. 6, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville. 
She was born Jan. 10, 1920 to her parents, the late Hershel and Martha Martin Judkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Jim A. Judkins; son Gene Edward Judkins; two daughters, Carol Herman and Aladean Judkins; and stepson James Calvin Knowles. She was a Primitive Baptist and a homemaker. 
Survivors include two sons, Clyde (Pauline) Judkins and Grady (Nina) Judkins, both of McMinnville; four stepdaughters, Linda (Steve) Hale, Anita (Eddie) Moore, Stella Dyer and Faye Cole, all of Smithville; three stepsons, Gerald (Altie) Knowles, Melvin Knowles and Donald (Donna Kay) Knowles, all of Smithville; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 10 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with elder Paul Violet and Michael Hale officiating. Burial followed at Keltonburg Cemetery.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
