Winchester resident and Warren County native Sara Smith Rogers, 87, was born Jan. 24, 1925 and died Jan. 25 at Willows at Winchester in Winchester.
A retired legal secretary and member of Westwood Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Robert Morris and Gladys Mason Smith. She was married to James Amonell Rogers Sr., who preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1997.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Morris and Bonnie Jane Rogers of Winchester and Jim and Doris Rogers Jr., of Ashland, Va.; grandchildren, Rachel Rogers Parrish of Gallatin, Lorrie Rogers Binns of Virginia, and Jay Rogers of Ashland, Va.; great-granddaughter, Caroline Binns of Virginia, and great-grandson, Paxton Stone Parrish of Gallatin.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today in High’s Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until time of service today at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
