McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Sara Evelyn Edwards, 96, was born March 21, 1916 and died Feb. 9 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.A retired employment security clerk and member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Potter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Potter Edwards and daughter, Mary Edwards Hardcastle.Mrs. Edwards is survived by two grandsons and their spouses, Alan and Julie Hardcastle of Fairview and Michael and Laura Hardcastle of Burlington, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Hardcastle and Alex Hardcastle; son-in-law, Brown Hardcastle of McMinnville and sister, Geneva Potter of Burlington, N.C.Funeral service was held Monday at High’s Chapel with Steve Stubblefield officiating. Burial followed at Mt.
