Samuel Dickerson Sims, 81, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7. Sam was born Oct. 28, 1937 in Nashville to the late Haskell Dickerson and Jewel (Taylor) Sims of Sparta. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from the University of Tennessee.
