McMinnville resident and Warren County native Russell Lynn McCormick, 46, was born March 17, 1977 and died suddenly July 6, 2023 at his residence.            

A nurseryman with Guthrie Nursery and a member of Campaign Church of God of Prophecy, he was the son of Norman McCormick of Morrison and Shirley Myers. Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by grandparents, Johnny and Melvina McCormick and Ruby and Bill Fuqua. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. McCormick is survived by step-father, William Myers; brother, Kevin McCormick (Kim Haley); sister, Amanda (Clint) Williams; niece, Kaylee Beth Williams; nephew, Tripp Williams; special cousin, Kayla McCormick; godson, Sam "Little Man" Sharp; special friend, Angie Sharp and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. 

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating. Burial followed at Asbury Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
