Ruby Curtis Hayes, 93, died recently in Covington, Ga., after an extended illness.She was born and raised in the Blue Springs Cove area of Warren County and graduated from Irving College High School. She attended Nashville Business College and later moved to Atlanta where she worked many years of B.F. Knox Co.She was preceded in death by parents, John Jeff and Mattie McGee Curtis of McMinnville; husband Carl Hayes of Georgia; brother Elvin Curtis of McMinnville; sister Dorothy Curtis Husky of California and son-in-law Cliff Groover of Duluth, Ga.She is survived by daughter Carlie Groover of Duluth; son Curtis Hayes of Covington; and locally by niece Sharon Curtis Patrick; great-nephew and wife, Jason and Tabitha Patrick; and their children Lucas, Kendall and Jenna Patrick.
