Jefferson City resident Rosemary Ann Novak, 86, died Dec. 12 at Adams Street Place.
She was born Aug. 19, 1927 in Jefferson City, the daughter of Paul H. and Bertha M. (Klebba) Bauer. She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Jefferson City and was a graduate of Waynesville High School.
In 1948, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Francis “Bill” Novak, who preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 2012. She was also preceded in death by daughter Francene Mary Ann Novak.
She worked for Wagner Electric in St. Louis and Genesco Shoe Company in McMinnville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City and St. Ann’s Sodality. She was also a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Jefferson City and McMinnville. She enjoyed dominoes, bingo, vacationing and water skiing at Lake of the Ozarks. She was a giving person who treated her nephews as if they were her own children and was a grandmother to the children in her neighborhood.
She is survived by one brother, Robert L. Bauer and his wife Mary Jane of Holts Summit, sister-in-law Janet Wujek of San Diego, Calif., and numerous other relatives and friends.
