Robert Leslie Tate, 65

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Robert Leslie Tate, 65, died June 4 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after an extended illness.
A Powermatic employee and a member of Hawassee Church of Christ, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by daughters, Leslie Forsyth and Felicia Tate, both of McMinnville; grandson, Nathan Forsyth; mother, Frances Melton and Jimmy Hudson of McMinnville; and special friend, Barbara Webster.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie A. Tate; wife, Janie Williamson Tate and son, Joey Tate.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Grange Hall Cemetery with George King officiating. Military grave rites were provided by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
