Robert Franklin Kilgore, 90, of Murfreesboro (formerly of McMinnville) died Sunday, April 20 at Broadmore Assisted Living in Murfreesboro. He was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Grundy County and was a retired diesel mechanic, and served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Kilgore was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Creda Meeks Kilgore; his wife, Cathleen Merritt Kilgore; daughter, Nanci Maurice Gannon; sisters, Rosalee Meeks and Rachael Spurgeon; and brothers, Arthur, Leonard, James, Roy, and Glen Ray Kilgore. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Debbie Kilgore, grandchildren Corey (Amy) Gannon, Christopher (Bekah) Gannon, and Heather (Lance) High; great-grandchildren, Issac, Eli, and Abel Gannon, Henley and Hartman High, and Everett Gannon, and sisters Linda Lawson, and Nancy Elizabeth Sheffy.
