Mrs. Robbie Winnett, 84, of McMinnville (Centertown community) died Sunday, March 16, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.
She was born Feb. 11, 1930, in Clay County, was a retired employee of Genesco, and a member of the Church of Christ at Centertown. Mrs. Winnett was preceded in death by her parents, Bulis Marcom and Veva Brown Marcom Smoot; her husband, W.T. (Billy) Winnett; her sisters, Marie Nevins, Mary Jean Sewell, and her brothers Bill, Jack, Tom, Bob, and J.B. (Jake) Marcom.
Survivors include her son Tylee (Janice) Marcum, grandchildren Brandon (Kari) Marcum and Kayla (Larry) Hale, great-grandchildren Braden Marcum, Hayden Hale, and Hunter Gudat, all of the Centertown community. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Terrell Marcum and Dorris Hughes will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Winnett family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and again Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
