McMinnville resident and Altamont native Ricky David Myers, 60, was born Oct. 25, 1952 and died Feb. 13 at his residence following a three-month illness.The owner of Flat Rock Nursery, he was the son of the late Chester and Willie Mae Higgins Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Myers.He was married to Lisa Howell Myers of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, April and Michael Rubley of McMinnville, and Penny Myers of McMinnville; three granddaughters, Teri Myers of Murfreesboro, and Addison Rubley and Reigh Myers, both of McMinnville; stepson, Eric Howell of McMinnville; one sister, Carolyn Myers of McMinnville; and five brothers, Bobby, Kenny, Charles, Benny and Stevie Myers, all of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at High’s Chapel with Danny Sullivan officiating.
