Ray Olton Basham, 72, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Stones River Hospital ER following an extended illness. He was a native of Cannon County.He is survived by his wife, Clara Darlene Basham of Woodbury; daughters, Sandra (Mike) Haggard of McMinnville and Sonya (Jerry) Cathey of Waverly; stepson, Chuck (Linda) McCormick of Manchester; granddaughter, April (Mike) Floyd, grandsons, Cody Cathey and Kyle (Monica) Cathey; great-grandsons, Dakota and Jacob Floyd; brother, Ronald (Cindy) Basham of Woodbury and sister-in-law, Judy Basham of Woodbury.Mr. Basham was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Maude Parker Basham; his brothers, Harold Lawton Basham and Jerry Basham.He was an electrical industrial maintenance worker at Batesville Casket Company. Olton loved to fish and camp.Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro.
